No condemnation….

Justification is the act where a holy, just God declares a believing sinner righteous not because of their goodness but because of Christ’s finished work on the cross.
It means God cancels the guilt of your sin and credits you with Christ’s perfect righteousness so before Him you are treated as not guilty.
This declaration happens the moment a person truly believes in Jesus and repents of sin and it is instantaneous and legal not a slow process. It is like a courtroom decision made now so eternity is already settled for the believer.
The Bible teaches that justification rests on two things forgiveness of sins and imputed righteousness your debt is paid because Christ took the penalty for you and His perfect obedience is counted to your account so God sees you clothed in His righteousness not your own.
This is why justification is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone it is not earned by works confession volume or church attendance but received by trusting Jesus. Justification is about your status before God not guilty declared righteous while sanctification is about your growth after that how God changes your heart and behavior over time by His Spirit.
Many Christians mix them up or never learn to distinguish them which is why some preachers feel the need to correct things later by overemphasizing behavior when in fact justification is a free gift and sanctification is the Spirit driven response to that gift. If you truly grasp justification you realize you are fully accepted by God the moment you trust Christ not because you are good enough but because Christ is.
This truth frees you, frees me, frees all from constant self condemnation and it builds gratitude, worship and obedience not to earn salvation, but because you are already saved.
