Long ago on a cold February afternoon, forty years now past; he spoke her name in a promise, a loving vow wrapped in the scent of truth and eternity
At times she sits, wandering through old photographs, remembering their two young faces, moments frozen forever
The days now are alive with the pitter-patter of children’s feet, gone is the solitude of silence: Dale, Gaylene in the emotional joyous moments of time known as grandparenting
Now rich with family, and grandchildren, much like the outside garden with the blooms now blossoming forth in beauty and grace
As the sun dips low in Riverton Manitoba this day, aren’t we all glad of a 40 year old promise
Much love to you all
