Grace is God’s all-sufficient provision  secured at the cross and written in Blood and alive in His Word, the living Word, Jesus Christ.

This contract bears out that as true Christian’s we none ever have to face a crisis wondering if God has made a way. Human nature definitely makes us ask, worry or get anxious and that’s part of our humanity. Yet and still the Bible declares that by His divine power He has given us everything we need for life and godliness, so the “contract” is complete in Christ. Many people live spiritually like they have no coverage, panicking when trouble hits, but the Bible teaches that God’s grace, given through Jesus’ finished work on the cross, is more than enough for every need we will ever go through. I was thinking about insurance today and remembering a friend who hit a deer not long ago and their insurance contract provided a rental and then a full replacement. They, as do others, pay for car insurance and when they read their policy, they know, and become aware of exactly what is available to them in an accident.

When the deer was struck, they did not place their faces in their palms screaming or in full blown anxiety nor did they ask:  “How will I get to work? How will I go shopping?” because the contract clearly promises a rental car or other provisions.

In the same way, Grace exists due to the finished work of Christ at the cross. In our life’s covenant there is a blood bought “policy” in place, already paid in full by Jesus Christ, that tells us exactly what God has provided through His wonderful, matchless grace. We each and all who have accepted Christ are secured in His grace because our faith is solely in Him.
For us who are true believers our sins were placed on Him and His righteousness was given to us, and scripture is clear that salvation and blessing are entirely by grace, not by human effort.
Galatians tells us that if righteousness could come by the law, then Christ died for nothing, but instead, grace flows to us because of His finished work on the cross. Simply put; nothing essential for living a godly, victorious life is missing; it is all spelled out in God’s Word, which is like our covenant “contract,” revealing what grace has done.
